The IWG5-CSA project has just published a new White Paper on Industrialisation in Construction.
Decarbonising the built environment is not just an environmental necessity - it’s a strategic opportunity to boost innovation, improve living standards, and enhance Europe’s energy security.

This new white paper explores how industrialisation can drive this transformation by focusing on six critical enablers:

• Market drivers & financial mechanisms
• Social acceptance & workforce readiness
• Legislation, standardisation & policy alignment
• Renovation & the circular economy
• Systems integration & innovation.

The paper emphasizes the need to align policy instruments and funding mechanisms more effectively. It also stresses the importance of cross-sector collaboration with energy, manufacturing, and digital industries to unlock synergies and scale innovation. By enabling a more standardised, digitalised, and integrated approach to building renovation, the EU can reduce costs, cut emissions, and stimulate sustainable economic growth.
