The European Commission has opened a public consultation on the upcoming European Research Area (ERA) Act, inviting feedback to help shape a stronger and more cohesive EU research and innovation framework.

The planned ERA Act aims to address long-standing challenges in the EU’s research and innovation ecosystem - including fragmented regulatory frameworks, uneven R&D investment, and barriers to knowledge sharing. This consultation forms a key part of the consultation process and follows the Call for Evidence, which closed on 10 September.
